Selasa (23/12) di lapangan futsal Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Manajemen Yayasan Keluarga Pahlawan Negara (STIM YKPN) tim futsal mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta meraih juara dua dalam “Liga Futsal Mahasiswa Jogja 2008″ saat pinalty melawan Universitas Gadjah Mada dengan score 1-4. Tri Prasetya (manager tim futsal mahasiswa UMY) mengatakan, liga futsal mahasiswa 2008 ini merupakan perlombaan futsal yang sifatnya resmi dari Pengurus Daerah Persatuan Sepakbola Seluruh Indonesia (Pengda PSSI) Yogyakarta, sekaligus wadah utama perwujudan aspirasi dari pecinta futsal khususnya dari kalangan mahasiswa (akademisi).

Kompetisi ini diikuti 10 perguruan tinggi negeri dan swasta di Yogyakarta ini. Tri mengatakan, tidak semua perguruan tinggi yang ada di Yogyakarta untuk dapat mengikuti liga ini. Hanya tim futsal dari perguruan tinggi yang sengaja diundang oleh Pengda PSSI dan selalu mengikutkan turnamen futsal di Indonesia, ujarnya.

Mahasiswa Hubungan Internasional UMY ini mengatakan, perbedaan liga dengan turnamen dalam futsal adalah waktu pertandingan, lapangan, dan peraturan waktu yang digunakan. Dalam turnamen futsal, biasanya waktu pertandingannya relatif singkat, biasanya maksimal dua minggu, berbeda dengan liga, Tri mengatakan, biasanya satu hingga dua bulan. Liga ini dimulai dari 11 November-23 Desember. Tri menambahkan, saat liga futsal mahasiswa ini berlangsung, tim UMY tidak setiap hari bertanding, satu pekan bermain dua kali selama dua bulan hingga final. Medan lapangan yang digunakan bukanlah rumput, tetapi sejenis keramik yang biasa disebut “parkit”, tambahnya.

Tim futsal UMY yang diperkuat oleh salah satu pencetak gol dalam Pekan Olahraga Mahasiswa se-ASEAN yang bergabung dalam anggota tim futsal nasional Indonesia yaitu Afif Tamimi. Tri menegaskan, “untuk peraturan waktu 20 menit pertandingan, dalam liga ini sangatlah konsisten, waktu sangatlah berarti, berbeda dengan turnamen futsal kebanyakan”.

Dengan maraknya turnamen, dan lapangan futsal di Yogyakarta. Terakhir, Tri Prasetya yang mewakili 12 tim futsal UMY mengatakan, seharusnya Pengda PSSI Yogyakarta lebih memperhatikan aspirasi dari pecinta futsal khususnya dari kalangan mahasiswa (akademisi). Kurangnya perhatian PSSI dalam olahraga yang menggunakan lapangan kecil ini adalah belum memasukan futsal di kejuaraan Pekan Olahraga Mahasiswa Indonesia. PSSI lebih mengutamakan sepakbola konvensional yang selalu kalah di setiap pertandingan, tambah Tri.

Perhelatan Final Four Liga Futsal Mahasiswa Yogyakarta telah di langsungkan Selasa, 23 Desember 2008 bertempat di STIM YKPN. Aura Final benar-benar terasa pada pertandingan yang di langsungkan mulai pukul 2 siang tersebut. Atmosfir pertandingan dan kehebohan para suporter menjadikan final ini terasa layaknya final-final olahraga lain yang biasa kita tonton di televisi.

Pertandingan pun berjalan sangat menarik, ke 4 tim yang akan mempereputkan gelar juara pun berjurang secara all out untuk memastikan menjadi yang terbaik. Permainan penuh semangat, determinasi yang tinggi, Disiplin, adu taktik dan strategi terlihat jelas pada final four yang baru pertama kali di gelar ini.

Drama-drama pun mewarnai jalannya pertandingan dan tentu saja yang di tunggu adalah puncak dari pertandingan-pertandingan tersebut. Penentuan Juara 1, 2, maupun 3 pun harus melalui drama adu pinalti. Dan akhirnya, tim yang lebih siap dan memiliki kematangan mental dan tentu saja faktor keberuntungan keluar menjadi yang terbaik.

Dan UGM pun mentasbihkan dirinya menjadi yang terbaik setelah dalam Final mengalahkan UMY yang lebih di favoritkan oleh penonton dalam drama adu Pinalty (4-1) setelah dalam waktu normal di tambah extra time 2×5 menit kedudukan masih seri (4-4). Di tempat ketiga UPN keluar sebagai pemenang setelah mengalahkan tetangga mereka, AMIKOM juga melalui drama adu Pinalti.

Afif dan Ryan Ikut LFM Jogja 2008

Dua pemain Indonesia Futsal League (IFL) 2008 turut serta dalam perhelatan Liga Futsal Mahasiswa Yogyakarta membela kampus mereka masing, yaitu Afif Tamimi (Electric/UMY) serta Ryan Hidayat (Dupiad/UKDW). Keduanya sudah ambil bagian memperkuat tim masing-masing. Ryan sudah membela UKDW sejak LFM Jogja di buka 8 november 2008 sedangkan Afif baru memperkuat UMY pada pertandingan ke-4 (kedua buat UMY) saat menghadapi ISI Yogykarta. Kehadiran kedua pemain dari liga pro ini jelas akan meningkatkan citra LIga Futsal Mahasiswa Jogja dimata masyarakat selain itu juga di harapkan dapat menularkan ilmu yang didapat saat membela klub di liga pro, Kehadiran Afif Tamimi yang selain memperkuat Electric PLN juga merupakan pilar bagi Timnas Futsal Indonesia di harapkan dapat menarik minat sponshor untuk mendanai Liga yang baru pertama kali di gulirkan ini.

STIE BP dan UGM Juara LiFuMa

STIE BP dan UGM keluar sebagai juara Liga Futsal Mahasiswa Jakarta dan Yogyakarta. Juara ini bagi STIE BP menjadi spesial karena mereka bisa mengawinkan gelar LIFUMA Jakarta dengan LIBAMA Nasional (basket). Ini menjadi tahunnya mereka karena dua gelar bergengsi mereka mereka sabet sekaligus, dan juga ingin memperlihatkan dominasi mereka dalam bidang olahraga.

STIE BP pada partai puncak berhasil mengalahakan UKI dengan skor 5-2. UKI sendiri menjadi kuda hitam yang berhasil lolos ke partai puncak dan menyingkirkan STEI Indonesia dan AMIK BSI yang lebih di unggulkan. STEI sendiri akhirnya hanya berhsil menempati juara 3.

Di Yogyakarta, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) keluar sebagai juara setelah mangalahkan UMY secara dramatis melalui Adu Pinalti. Kemenangan ini manjadi sesuatu yang spesial dan sejarah sendiri buat UGM karena mereka mecatatkan diri menjadi yang pertama menjuara Liga Futsal Mahasiswa yang baru pertama kali ini di gelar di jogja. Bagi UMY, kekalahan ini begitu menyakitkan karena di awal-awal pertandingan mereka sempat memimpin terlebih dahulu, bahkan pada babak extra time pun mereka sudah unggul dan gelar juara seakan-akan sudah di tangan. Namun kondisi fisik yang melemah dan berakibat konsentrasipun menurun membuat pertahanan mereka rapuh. dan UGM pun berhasil menyamakan kedudukan. Skor Akhirnya pun imbang 3-3. Dalam adu pinalti, UGM terlihat begitu siap mengahdapi situasi ini. Lain halnya dengan UMY yang terlihat masih tidak percaya dengan hasil yang didapat. UGM akhirnya menang 4-1 dalam adu pinalti dan akhirnya keluar sebagai juara.

Ditempat ketiga juga terjadi persaingan yang seru seperti apa yang terjadi pada partai final. Pertandingan pun harus melalui extra time dan adu pinalti. Dan Akhirnya UPN keluar sebagai juara ke-3 setelah dalam adu pinlati unggul 3-1 (4-4) atas AMIKOM. AMIKOM sendiri menjadi kuda hitam pada LFM di jogja dan harus puas menempati urutan ke-4.

As international governing bodies of futsal, FIFA and AMF are responsible for maintaining and promulgating the official rules of their respective versions of futsal. Like football, futsal has 'laws' that define all aspects of the game, including what may be changed to suit local competitions and leagues.

The origin of Futsal can be traced back to Montevideo, Uruguay where in 1930 Juan Carlos Ceriani devised a five-a–side ball kicking game with adjusted size goals for youth competition in YMCAs. The game is played on basketball-sized courts, both indoors and outdoors, without the use of sidewalls.^[3]

The international governing body FIFUSA (Federación Internacional de Fútbol de Salón, International Futsal Federation) was created in 1971 to administer the game, and held its first futsal world championship in São Paulo in 1982. Due to an apparent dispute with FIFA over the administration of fútbol, FIFUSA coined the word fut-sal in 1985.

FIFA soon began to administer its own indoor football games, creating its own version of the rules and hosting its first FIFA Indoor Soccer World Championship in 1989 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, in 1992 it was the FIFA Five-a-Side World Championship (Hong Kong) and since 1996 it has been called the FIFA Futsal World Championship (Guatemala). One of the most remarkable changes was the reduction of the ball weight and increase in ball size (from a handball size to a football size 4), which enabled faster play and, for the first time, scoring goals with the head (though this is still difficult and uncommon).

In 2004, members of PANAFUTSAL (La Confederación Panamericana de Futsal, The Pan-American Futsal Confederation) formed AMF (Asociación Mundial de Fútbol de Salón, World Futsal Association), an international futsal governing body independent of FIFA. Both FIFA and AMF continue to administer the game.

Some professional players start out with futsal to build fundamental skills. Brazilian players Ronaldinho, Robinho, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Juninho and many more started out playing futsal. In Brazil, the majority of children start out with Futsal rather than association football since it requires less space and many schools in the country do not have a field to play traditional association football. There are also some notable players like Falcão who continue to play futsal at the club level.

Futsal is an indoor version of association football. Its name is derived from the Portuguese futebol de salão and the Spanish fútbol sala/de salón, which can be translated as 'indoor football'. In Madrid 1985 the name fufbol de salon and all other names the game was called were changed officially and internationally into FUTSAL.

Futsal is played between two teams of five players, one of whom is the goalkeeper, and up to seven substitutes per team. Unlike some other forms of indoor football, the game is played on a hard court surface delimited by lines; walls or boards are not used. Futsal is also played with a smaller ball with less bounce than a regulation football.^[1] The rules create an emphasis on improvisation, creativity and technique as well as ball control and passing in small spaces.^[2]

Other forms of indoor football games, which are played by somewhat different rules, exist and may be referred to as indoor football, five-a-side football or indoor soccer. Many of these codes predate FIFA's adoption and endorsement of futsal rules; the American indoor soccer variant, with a regulation-sized ball, larger artificial turf-covered court, and walls off which the ball may be rebounded, has sustained professional leagues in that country for over thirty years.
